Hundreds of community participants in a magnificent array of costumes with floral themes. Join us for a glittering feast of colour as we celebrate all that is great about our town!

Creative Arts Hub

Voted top Activity Organisation for 2019 at the My Mirfield Awards – join artists at the Hub for a range of FREE activities suitable for all ages!


‘Planet building’ – using coloured tissue and paper lanterns, create your own planet to either add to our growing solar system, or take away to display at home


‘Trash weaving’ – we’ll be using a variety of throw away materials such as plastic bags, newspaper, raffia, ribbon and paper shreds to create woven forms. Artists will be on hand to help you to create simple shapes and models

‘Lucy Contortion’ – a mini-show by 11 year old Lucy, a rising star showcasing her talent and remarkable flexibility! (11am – 11.30am)


Tom Ratcliffe ‘Landscape Through Language’ painting exhibition

Open studios – explore some of our twelve studios and chat to artists in their creative environments

Mirfield Miniatures – drop into the miniatures shop and have a go at painting a free miniature!
